HbSS patient with VOC. Baseline Hb 8.5, currently 6.8 with elevated LDH 580 and reticulocyte count 12.4%. Active hemolysis. Fever 38.4 and SpO2 91% concerning for acute chest syndrome. Obtain CXR. Avoid morphine per allergy. Consider PCA with hydromorphone.
